Ingredients

  • Half of a 24 ounce. pkg. frzn stew vegetables
  • 1 1/4 c. boiling salted water
  • 1 can condensed split pea with ham and bacon soup
  • 1 c. cubed cooked ham
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. crunchy bean sprouts

Method

  • In large saucepan, cook vegetables, covered, in the boiling water till tender, about 20 min.
  • Remove potatoes and any other large vegetables, cut up and return to pan.
  • Stir in split pea soup, ham and lowfat milk.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • Reduce heat and add in sprouts.
  • Simmer 3 min.
  • Garnish with additional sprouts if you like.
  • Serves 6.
