Ingredients

  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. cranberries, cut up
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 3 egg whites

Method

  • Combine sugar, flour and spices.
  • Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
  • Add to dry ingredients alternately with vinegar and melted butter.
  • Mix well.
  • Stir in cranberries and pecans.
  • Bet egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold into cranberry mixture and blend well.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350° for about 50 minutes.
