Ingredients

  • 1 large crab
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 500 ml of water
  • 3 tbsp of mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp of prepared mustard
  • 30 ml of beer
  • 1 A dash of piri-piri sauce

Method

  • Bring the crab to the boil on a high heat and cook for about 10 minutes in the salt and water.
  • once cooked, take the grab out of the water and place to one side until it's cool enough to handle.
  • Remove the claws and reserve to be used separately.
  • Crack the crab open and remove the white meat, shred the meat through the tips of your fingers, making sure there is no small bones left.
  • Add the mayonnaise, mustard, beer and piri-piri to the crab meat and mix well.
  • serve with some warm toast.
