Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 cans vegetarian burger (20 oz. each)
  • 5 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. finely chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. finely chopped salted cashews
  • 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Method

  • Melt margarine in a skillet.
  • Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic.
  • Cover and cook at medium heat until vegetables are tender, but not brown.
  • Combine cooked vegetable mixture with remaining ingredients.
  • Mix by hand or with a mixer until well blended.
