- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 3/4 c. chopped celery
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
- 2 cans vegetarian burger (20 oz. each)
- 5 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 3/4 c. finely chopped salted cashews
- 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Method
- Melt margarine in a skillet.
- Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic.
- Cover and cook at medium heat until vegetables are tender, but not brown.
- Combine cooked vegetable mixture with remaining ingredients.
- Mix by hand or with a mixer until well blended.
