Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 c. drained whole kernel corn
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- shortening
Method
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in mixing bowl. Combine egg, milk, corn and butter; stir into flour mixture.
- Drop batter by spoonfuls into 1-inch hot shortening in skillet.
- Fry for 4 to 5 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
- Makes 8 fritters.
