Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 8 c. shredded cabbage
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 2 or 3 carrots, grated
- 1 medium chopped onion
Method
- Bring the first 3 ingredients to a boil. Cool. Combine with the rest of the ingredients.
- Mix well. May add 2 or 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, if desired.
- Chill.
- Keeps in refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
