Ingredients
- 1 pt. milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. coconut
Method
- Heat milk in double boiler.
- Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch and add to heated milk; stir.
- Beat egg yolks; add to filling, stirring it well.
- Add 1 tablespoon coconut, vanilla and 1 tablespoon butter as it thickens.
- Pour into baked pie shell.
- Let cool about 10 minutes.
