Ingredients

  • 10 ounces, weight Lamb, Boneless
  • 1/2 bunches Fresh Cilantro
  • 1/2 bunches Fresh Mint
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 4 ounces, weight Natural Yoghurt
  • 1 pinch Cilantro Powder
  • 1 pinch Caraway Powder
  • 1 pinch Turmeric Powder
  • 2 pinches Ginger Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 whole Red Onion, Peeled And Chopped
  • 2 Buns
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, Chopped, For Garnishing
  • 4 leaves Lettuce

Method

  • Cut the lamb into medium pieces and place in a blender with fresh cilantro, mint, salt and pepper.
  • Blend it roughly.
  • Form 2 lamb patties out of the mixture using your hands.
  • Mix yoghurt with cilantro, caraway, turmeric and ginger powders.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Set aside.
  • Warm olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add onions and let them saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add the patties and cook them 5 minutes on each side, or until the lamb is completly cooked.
  • Put the buns into the oven at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
  • Spread the buns with yoghurt mixture.
  • Put the patties, red onions, fresh cilantro and some salad leaves on the buns.
