Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 14 cup 2% low-fat milk
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 14 cups quick-cooking oats (not instant)
  • 1 13 cups 2% low-fat milk
  • 14 cup dried cranberries (optional) or 14 cup raisins (optional)
  • 4 teaspoons granulated sugar

Method

  • Bring water and salt to a boil in medium saucepan over high heat.
  • Whisk together eggs, 1/4 cup milk, cinnamon and vanilla in medium bowl; stir into boiling water.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low.
  • Stir in oats.
  • Simmer until desired consistency, about 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon into bowls; top each servng with milk cranberries and sugar.
