Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage meat
  • 1 (12 oz.) loaf French bread
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese (2 c.)
  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese (1 c.)
  • chopped parsley (for garnish)

Method

  • Night before serving, grease a 13 x 9-inch glass baking dish. Cook pork sausage meat, stirring frequently to break up sausage until thoroughly cooked and no longer pink.
  • Using slotted spoon, remove sausage to paper towel to drain.
