Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. Hershey's dry cocoa
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or stick margarine
  • 1/2 c. cooking oil
  • 1 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. grated zucchini
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.
  • Cream butter, oil and sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs.
  • Add vanilla and dry ingredients.
  • Add buttermilk.
  • Stir in zucchini.
  • Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan.
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 325° for 55 minutes or until tested done.
