Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chocolate (unsweetened)
  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. coffee
  • 10 large eggs

Method

  • Chop chocolate and cube butter.
  • Melt over double boiler.
  • Add sugar and coffee.
  • Mix well to combine.
  • Cool until just warm. Whisk the eggs together and then add to chocolate mixture.
  • Whisk well.
  • Pour into a 9 or 10-inch spring-form pan that has been greased and dusted with sugar.
  • Bake at 325° until set.
  • Cool then refrigerate.
  • Release pan sides.
  • Garnish with sweetened whipped cream and semi-sweet chocolate curls.
