Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)
  • 9-inch pastry shell

Method

  • Cream butter, sugar and flour together.
  • Then add 2 well beaten eggs.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Add chocolate chips, pecans, vanilla and coconut.
  • Stir together.
  • Pour into unbaked 9-inch pastry shell.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown at 350°.
  • (Use deep dish pie crust because this may boil over.)
