Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. Crisco oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. cold black coffee
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Mix all ingredients at once.
- Beat on low speed for 4 minutes; pour into pans or pan lined with wax paper.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes if 9-inch pans; 30 to 40 minutes if a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- This is a moist dark chocolate cake; may be frosted or left unfrosted.
