Ingredients

  • 1 steak, cut in 1/2" slices (make bite size)
  • 2 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp sherry
  • 2-3 tsp peanut oil
  • white Chinese cabbage, cut up
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • optional vegetables- 1 pound of fresh mushrooms and 1 can water chestnuts.

Method

  • prepare beef by slicing thinly and marinate in soy sauce, cornstarch and sherry.
  • Heat oil in wok and quickly stir fry cabbage. Stir fry mushrooms and water chestnuts if using. Remove and put aside. Add meat and garlic to pan and stir fry. Add veggies and reheat.
  • serve over rice
