- 2 fryer chickens, cut into quarters
- 1/2 c. flour
- 2 (16 oz.) cans plums, pitted and drained
- 2 c. red wine
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 4 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp. salt
- 8 whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Skin chicken. Coat with flour.
- Brown chicken in a skillet. Place in a baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients.
- Pour over the chicken.
- Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
