Ingredients

  • 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
  • 3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. rum
  • 2 1/2 c. finely crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 c. finely chopped pecans

Method

  • Melt chocolate chips in double boiler over hot water.
  • Add corn syrup and rum.
  • Combine crushed vanilla wafer crumbs, powdered sugar and chopped pecans.
  • Add to the chocolate mix and mix well.
  • Cover and let stand for 30 minutes.
  • Make 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar.
  • Place in tight container to "ripen" for 3 to 4 days.
  • Be sure to keep tightly covered.
