Ingredients

  • 6 lb. hen or 2 large fryers
  • 1 or 2 stalks celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • garlic salt
  • 2 c. milk, at room temperature
  • 2 c. mushroom soup
  • 1 small jar pimientos
  • 1 small jar mushrooms
  • 5 c. grated cheese (reserve 1 c. to go on top)

Method

  • Saute onion in butter.
  • When limp, add 5 tablespoons flour. Stir well and add the milk.
  • When this will coat a spoon, add other ingredients, except cheese and chicken; mix well.
  • Add cheese and chicken (add cheese first as it will melt better).
  • Add this to spaghetti and top with reserved cheese.
  • Cook at 350° until it bubbles.
