Ingredients
- 1 stewed hen
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. pimento
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1/2 lb. cheese, grated
Method
- After stewing chicken, remove meat from broth (when cool), bone and dice.
- Set aside.
- Cook noodles in broth according to package directions.
- Drain.
- Mix onions, pimento, oregano and a dash of pepper and soup.
- Add milk.
- Stir together and add chicken, drained noodles and half of the grated cheese to soup mixture.
- Place in 9 x 13-inch casserole.
- Top with remaining grated cheese.
- Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until bubbly.
