Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 (15 oz.) can sauerkraut
  • 4 thick slices Swiss or Cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz. Russian dressing
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste (optional)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder (if desired).
  • Place chicken in casserole dish and pour in sauerkraut.
  • Place cheese on top of chicken, then pour dressing on top.
  • Cover with foil and bake about 45 minutes, depending on thickness of chicken.
  • You can add potatoes to casserole for a 1 dish meal.
  • It may look terrible, but it tastes great!
