Ingredients
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. walnuts
- 4 lb. ripe, unbruised peaches
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 stick butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
Method
- To make the topping, mix the flour and sugars in a bowl.
- Cut the butter into small pieces; mix it into the flour by rubbing it into the mixture with fingertips.
- Add walnuts.
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cut peaches in half, peel and remove pits.
- Cut into slices.
- Mix with flour and sugar (to taste).
- Spread peaches in a 2-quart glass or ceramic ovenproof dish.
- Sprinkle topping over peaches.
- Bake until topping is brown and peaches are bubbly. You can serve with heavy cream.
