Ingredients
- 8 c. coarsely chopped cabbage
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 quart water
- Cavender's Green seasoning, to taste
- 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
- 1/2 c. crumbled, crispy fried bacon
- 1 to 1 1/2 c. cornbread crumbs
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the cabbage, onion, and water in large saucepan. Cook until cabbage is limp but not mushy (about 5 minutes. Drain. Add Cavender's seasoning, soup, and bacon.
- Stir well. Spoon into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with cornbread crumbs. Bake for 15 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
