Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped cashews
- 1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
Method
- Line bottom and sides of a 9-inch round baking pan with foil. Butter the foil heavily.
- Set pan aside.
- In a 10-inch skillet, combine cashews, butter, sugar and syrup.
- Cook over medium heat until sugar is melted and mixture turns golden brown, stirring constantly (about 8 to 9 minutes).
- Quickly spread mixture in pan. Cool for about 15 minutes or until firm.
- Remove candy by lifting edges of foil.
- Peel off foil.
- Cool thoroughly.
- Candy may be left as a disc or broken into pieces.
- Makes about 1/2 to 3/4 pound.
