Ingredients
- 1 c. grits
- 4 c. boiling water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 2 (6 oz.) links Cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. seasoned salt
- garlic to taste
Method
- Cook grits in boiling water until thick; add butter, seasonings and cheese, stirring until melted.
- Beat eggs lightly and stir into grits mixture.
- Pour into buttered casserole dish and bake for 1 hour at 325°.
- (Placing a sheet of foil under the pan seems to prevent it from sticking.)
