Ingredients
- 6 thin slices sirloin roast
- 2 medium onions
- 10 slices bacon
- mustard (optional)
Method
- Lay out beef on waxed paper.
- Dice onions and cut bacon in pieces.
- Saute onions and bacon.
- Place onions and bacon pieces on a paper towel to remove the fat.
- Spread thin layer of mustard on beef slices (optional).
- Put equal amounts of onions and bacon pieces on each slice of meat.
- Roll each slice of meat into a roll and secure with a toothpick.
- Brown each piece of meat on all sides.
- Pour water over meat and let simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
- Take meat out of liquid and thicken gravy with flour or cornstarch. Season gravy to taste.
