Ingredients
- 2 c. very warm water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 5 to 5 1/2 c. bread flour
- margarine, melted
Method
- Combine water, yeast and sugar, and let stand for 10 minutes. Add salt, oil and 5 cups flour and knead (adding other 1/2 cup, if needed).
- Place dough in greased bowl, cover and let rise in slightly warm oven until double in size.
- Punch down and allow to rest 15 to 20 minutes.
- Divide in half and shape in 2 greased loaf pans.
- Brush loaves with margarine and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350°.
- Remove from pans immediately.
- Yields 2 loaves.
