Ingredients
- 8 short ribs
- 3 medium onions
- 1 small head cabbage
- 4 medium tomatoes
- 6 c. water
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. garlic powder
- 4 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 oz. Heinz tomato ketchup
Method
- In large hot pot, sear meat.
- When it is well seared, remove from pot.
- Add cut up onions, cabbage and tomatoes to drippings left in pot and cook until they are soft.
- Put meat back into mixture and add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer on medium flame for 2 1/2 hours.
- Makes 8 servings.
