Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. cooked rice
  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. tomatoes, canned
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 stalk pepper, chopped

Method

  • Cut up cabbage, simmer in a little water.
  • When cooked, drain and reserve liquid.
  • Brown meat with onion, garlic and celery for 10 minutes, drain.
  • Add tomatoes, seasonings and rice.
  • Mix well. In an oblong casserole bowl or pan, layer cabbage, then meat. Pour liquid over top and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
