Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. pork sausage
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 c. cooked rice
- 1 head lettuce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. tomatoes, canned
- salt and pepper
- 1 stalk pepper, chopped
Method
- Cut up cabbage, simmer in a little water.
- When cooked, drain and reserve liquid.
- Brown meat with onion, garlic and celery for 10 minutes, drain.
- Add tomatoes, seasonings and rice.
- Mix well. In an oblong casserole bowl or pan, layer cabbage, then meat. Pour liquid over top and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
