- 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 3 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. quick-cooking rolled oats
- frosting
Method
- Sift together flour, sugar, soda and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- Cut in peanut butter and shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Mix egg, milk and vanilla; add to flour mixture with oats.
- Mix well.
- Spread in lightly greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Cool.
- Frost.
