Ingredients
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Over hot (not boiling) water, melt the butterscotch morsels and butter or margarine.
- Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar.
- Cool 5 minutes, blending eggs and vanilla. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt.
- Stir in nuts.
- Spread in ungreased and lightly floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
- Cool.
- Cut into 2-inch squares.
- Yields 2 dozen.
