Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. lean beef, cut into large cubes
- 6 carrots, sliced in large pieces
- 1 c. celery, sliced in large pieces
- 3 onions, diced
- 3 Tbsp. tapioca
- salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes with juice
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Method
- Put all ingredients in Dutch oven or baking dish.
- Cover and cook in a 250° oven for at least 5 hours.
- Three large potatoes may be cut up and added during the last hour or so of cooking, depending on the kind of potatoes used (new or old).
