Ingredients

  • 6 to 12 ears fresh corn
  • 1 1/2 to 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. green and red bell pepper, chopped
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp or bacon bits (optional)
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • water
  • oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cut off tips of corn kernels into a large bowl.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle flour over the corn and mix well.
  • Set aside. Chop peppers and set aside.
  • Fry bacon until crisp; drain.
  • Heat oil enough to cover bottom of a 10-inch skillet.
  • Add the butter and margarine and melt over medium heat.
  • Add corn; stir.
