Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. fresh broccoli, cut up
  • salted water
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs

Method

  • Cook broccoli in salted water until tender.
  • Drain.
  • Place in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Combine next 7 ingredients and spread over top.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan.
  • Stir in crumbs. Spread over top.
  • Bake, uncovered, in a 375° oven for about 25 minutes until browned and hot.
  • Serves 6.
