Ingredients
- 6 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1/2 cake yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
Method
- Work into ball.
- Let rise (double).
- Knead down again (let raise double).
- Knead and put into bread pans.
- Pierce with fork. Let raise 1 1/2 hours.
- Bake 400° for 30 minutes.
- Yields 2 loaves.
- Wipe with butter when still warm from oven.
