Ingredients
- 1 lb. phyllo dough
- 2 cubes real butter, melted (skim off white)
- 1 lb. Jack cheese, grated
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 pt. large curd cottage cheese
- 4 oz. cream cheese
Method
- Open phyllo dough and lay flat.
- Cut in half.
- Pour half the butter in a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
- Put half the phyllo dough in the dish; turn the edges under.
- Mix three cheeses and eggs. Carefully spread on top of phyllo.
- Place other half of phyllo on top; turn edges under.
- Pour remaining butter over top.
- Make sure edges are sealed with butter.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let sit 5 minutes before cutting.
- Serve with fruit and salad for luncheon or as a side dish with beef or ham.
