Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 4 tsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 c. carrots, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 4 Tbsp. shortening
  • 3 c. or more hot water
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 4 potatoes, cut in quarters
  • 1 pt. oysters
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Method

  • In a double boiler, scald milk.
  • In a separate pan, heat the oysters in their own liquid, but do not boil!
  • Combine in double boiler and add butter, salt and pepper.
  • Stir and remove from burner.
  • Ready to eat!
  • Serves 4.
