Ingredients

  • 3 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) can beer
  • 1 stick melted margarine

Method

  • Place flour and sugar in bowl.
  • Pour beer over dry ingredients and stir until sticky.
  • Place in greased loaf pan.
  • Pour 1/3 of melted margarine over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
  • Pour 1/3 more margarine over bread and cook 20 minutes more.
  • Pour last 1/3 margarine over loaf; bake 20 minutes.
  • Cool and slice.
  • Serve with butter and honey.
