Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup
  • 1/2 c. chili sauce
  • 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 10 to 15 dashes of Tabasco hot sauce
  • 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 beef roast (I use sirloin tip or round, 5 lb. or more)

Method

  • Cook beef in oven until medium done; slice.
  • Layer slices in pan.
  • Combine all ingredients, except beef, and bring to a boil and pour over meat.
  • Continue cooking meat until very tender, 2 to 4 hours at 300°.
  • Baste with sauce.
  • Add more water if sauce gets too thick.
  • May be prepared ahead and frozen.
  • Excellent for serving a large group or holiday meal.
