- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs (reserve 1/4 c.)
- 3 to 4 bananas
- 1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream (rectangular box is easier)
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. whipped cream
Method
- Cover the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with crumbs.
- Slice bananas and layer over crumbs.
- Slice ice cream into 1/2-inch slices and layer evenly.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Freeze until firm!
- Melt chocolate chips and butter.
- Add powdered sugar and evaporated milk.
- Cook until thick and smooth.
- Cool.
- Pour over ice cream and nuts.
- Freeze until firm!
- Cover with whipped cream and top with the crumbs.
- Remove from the freezer 1/2 hour before serving. This can be stored several weeks in the freezer.
