Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box vanilla wafers
- 4 to 6 bananas
Method
- In a bowl, combine sugar and flour.
- Add milk to slightly beaten egg yolks, then combine flour mixture and milk mixture. Cook in top of double boiler until the thickness of custard.
- Add vanilla.
- Line baking dish with wafers.
- Slice bananas over wafers.
- Pour 1/2 custard over bananas and wafers.
- Repeat process again.
- Beat egg whites with 6 tablespoons sugar.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Pour on top of pudding.
- Bake at 425° for 5 minutes, or until top is slightly browned.
