Ingredients
- 2 lb. slender zucchini
- 1/3 lb. bacon
- 3 medium onions
- salt and pepper
- basil
- catsup
Method
- Wash zucchini; do not peel.
- Slice fairly thin.
- Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.
- Thinly slice onions and separate into rings. Cook bacon in skillet.
- Add onions.
- When bacon begins to sizzle, cook 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Into a greased casserole, put a layer of zucchini.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil.
- Dot with catsup; cover with onions and bacon.
- Repeat.
- Have a layer of onions and bacon on top.
- Dot with catsup.
- Cover casserole and bake 45 minutes at 350°.
- Serves 6 to 8.
