Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 c. milk

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Melt butter and set aside.
  • Combine all ingredients except the milk and butter.
  • Stir in milk until moist. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface.
  • Knead 10 times until smooth.
  • Roll into 12 x 4-inch rectangle and cut into 12 (1-inch) strips.
  • Dip into butter and place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan in 2 rows of 6.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until light brown.
