Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
  • 1 cup Butter, Melted
  • 2 Large Eggs, Beaten
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour, Whole Wheat Mix
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3 cups Granny Smith Apples (peeled, Cored And Diced)
  • 1 cup Pecans, Chopped

Method

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • 2. In a large bowl stir together brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 3. In another bowl stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; add this into the brown sugar mixture, stirring until blended.
  • 4. Mix in apples and pecans. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan, spread in an even layer.
  • 5. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely (about 1 hour). Cut into squares.
