Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. chopped filberts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Method
- In a heavy saucepan, mix together sugar, milk and butter. Cook slowly without stirring until mixture reaches the soft ball stage.
- Remove pan from heat; add filberts and flavorings.
- Stir until mixture cools.
- Pour into a shallow buttered pan and let stand 20 minutes.
- Cut into pieces.
