Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1-1/4 gal. cremini mushrooms, sliced 1/4-inch-thick
  • 1 qt. yellow onions, small diced
  • 3 cups A.1. Original Sauce
  • 24 each ground beef patties (8 oz.)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 24 each hamburger buns (2.75 oz.), split
  • 24 slices KRAFT Pasteurized Process Swiss Cheese Slices

Method

  • Heat oil in large saute pan.
  • Add mushrooms; saute until golden brown.
  • Add onions, saute 2 min.
  • Stir in steak sauce; cook until sauce is reduced and mushrooms are evenly glazed.
  • Keep warm until ready to serve.
  • Season patties with salt and pepper.
  • Grill to desired doneness.
  • Fill each bun with 1 burger, 2-1/2 oz.
  • mushroom mixture and 1 cheese slice.
