Ingredients

  • 5 eggs, boiled (or how many you want)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 16 oz. Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 or more head lettuce
  • 1 large (16 oz.) bag frozen green peas
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, fried crispy and crumbled
  • 1 onion or less, chopped finely
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Swiss cheese
  • red peppers or paprika for garnish or green peppers or pimentos (be creative)

Method

  • Boil eggs first.
  • Mix sugar with Miracle Whip in second bowl for dressing.
  • Put lettuce in salad bowl as first layer.
  • Add green peas as second layer and diced celery as third layer.
  • Press firmly with hands.
  • Next, put on bacon, onion, Cheddar cheese and Swiss cheese.
  • Spread the Miracle Whip mix on top.
  • Cut up or slice boiled eggs and put on top of salad.
  • Garnish with red peppers or paprika or green peppers or pimentos.
  • Refrigerate several hours before serving.
  • (The recipe recommends 24 hours; sometimes there isn't enough time.)
