- 10 cups ground squash
- 4 cups ground onions
- 1 ground red pepper
- 1 ground green pepper
- 5 tablespoons salt
- 2 1/2 cups vinegar
- 6 cups sugar
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons celery seed
- green food coloring
Method
- Grind squash, onions and red and green peppers.
- Add the salt and let stand overnight.
