Ingredients
- 5 c. unsifted flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Method
- Dissolve yeast in water.
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add buttermilk and yeast.
- Knead and store in refrigerator in an airtight container. Roll out desired amount and bake at 425° for 15 minutes.
