Ingredients
- 4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. wild rice
- 1 c. long grain rice
- 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- fresh ground black pepper
Method
- In small saucepan, bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of the salt and the wild rice.
- Lower the heat and simmer 45 minutes.
- About halfway through cooking time, bring the remaining water to a boil in a separate saucepan, then add the remaining salt and the long grain rice.
- Bring to a boil and lower heat to simmer for about 18 minutes.
