Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
- dash of salt
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 4 c. (1 qt.) milk
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- sweetened whipped cream (optional)
Method
- In
- medium
- saucepan,
- combine sugar, cocoa and salt; blend in water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture
- boils.
- Boil
- and stir
- 2 minutes.
- Add milk. Stir
- and heat
- to serving temperature.
- Do not boil.
- Remove from heat; add vanilla.
- Beat with rotary beater or wire whisk until foamy.
